Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Camera Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content for various projects, including promotional materials, events, and documentaries. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency with camera equipment, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve the desired visual storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Operate video cameras and related equipment to capture footage according to project specifications.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other crew members to understand the vision and objectives of each project.
- Ensure proper lighting, framing, and sound quality during shoots to enhance the overall production value.
- Edit and assemble recorded footage into a polished final product using editing software.
- Conduct copy editing and proofreading of scripts and other written materials as needed.
- Maintain an organized workflow by managing files and ensuring all footage is properly archived.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continually improve skills and production quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating video cameras and understanding various filming techniques.
- Strong editing skills with experience in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Knowledge of copy editing, proofreading, and technical writing principles to ensure clarity in scripts and proposals.
- Familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style for maintaining consistency in written content.
- Background in journalism or creative writing is a plus for storytelling aspects of video production.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.73 – $12.72 per hour
