Intellectual Athlete (IA), a mental fitness company, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic videographer to document its innovative program in collaboration with the Alvord School District. This role involves capturing engaging video content during practice sessions and game moments to showcase how sport psychology skills enhance student performance and well-being.

The selected videographer will play a critical role in documenting pivotal moments where students apply skills such as breathwork, self-regulation, and teamwork to gain tactical advantages.

Responsibilities:

  • Record 3 hours of footage weekly over an 8-week period (totaling 24 hours).
  • Capture key moments, including:
  • Inside sport huddles.
  • Implementation of IA-taught mental fitness techniques.
  • Pivotal gameplay moments showcasing student growth and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with IA instructors and coaches to position cameras and identify important scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with district privacy policies, including avoiding sensitive moments.
  • Deliver raw footage weekly for review and potential edits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in videography (academic or freelance experience accepted).
  • Ability to handle equipment confidently and ensure professional-quality recordings.
  • Enthusiasm for capturing dynamic, real-world interactions in sports settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with sports or education environments is a plus.
  • Must provide own equipment (camera, microphone, tripod, etc.).

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $32–$48/hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:
Filming will take place weekly afterschool Mondays, Wednesdays Thursdays mostly, on site in Riverside, CA, during scheduled practices and games. Flexible availability is required to coordinate with program events.

Your work will tell the story of how sports can transform mental health in timelapse style.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Freelance

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
