Production Assistant (Part-Time) – WPXI TV

Position Overview

WPXI TV Pittsburgh is looking for a Part-Time Production Assistant who will assist in all phases of commercial and studio production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate crews for productions
• Order, set up, and break down craft services for productions
• Purchase and return props for productions
• Produce and co-produce weekly shows
• Create and fill out paperwork including, but not limited to, call sheets, contracts, and schedules
• Assist producers and editors throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production process
• Assist with setting up new vendors in the payroll system
• Communicate necessary production information such as scripts and schedules to crew members and talent agents
• Operate teleprompter when needed
• Keep track of expenses and compile monthly expense reports
• Regularly update crew lists and rates

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
• College degree
• Experience with on site production
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years previous studio camera production experience preferred
