We’re a full-service advertising agency with our own in-house post production facility, located in north Dallas. Our clients are some of the largest theme parks and entertainment venues in the world. So there’s no shortage of fun and thrilling source material to work with! We’re looking for a lightning-quick, junior-level editor capable of integrating within a small team of editors to produce more than 2,500 commercials, web videos, social ads, and more each year. You should be a creative problem solver. To succeed with us you’ll need to be extremely proactive, take-on different roles as needed, and help the team with nitty gritty projects when deadlines are tight.
Job Description
· This is a fun, but fast-paced environment. Must be able to execute directions and revisions promptly, while keeping work files organized.
· Use your creative chops to turn pre-existing footage and assets into eye-catching visuals for commercials, digital elements, and longer form videos.
· Edit on-the-fly while collaborating with clients and art directors, but also work on your own by following scripts and storyboards.
· Masterfully layout lots of type and text.
· Work with footage originating from every imaginable source and camera/color profile.
· Ensure all projects and deliverables adhere to strict broadcast standards.
· Stay on top of technology trends, keeping Windows and Mac edit bays as well as servers up to date with current bug fixes and software updates.
· Maintain archival catalog systems and procedures.
· Maintain a 72+TB library of footage and assets.
· Must be flexible during our high-season workload when later working hours are occasionally required.
Experience Required:
· At least 5 years of experience with Adobe Apps such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, etc. Experience with all Adobe Apps are not required unless bolded.
· A thorough understanding of broadcast standards.
· Experience in trouble-shooting and solving errors with Mac OSX, Windows and Adobe.
· Understand compression techniques/settings for various media outlets.
· Closed Captioning experience is a big plus.
· CATDV experience a plus, but not required.
· This is a post-production job only; no camera work is involved and no gear is needed.
· The position is on-location in Dallas. Working remotely is not an option.
