Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Cinematographer/Videographer to join our media team. This role combines expert filmmaking skills with technical video production to create visually stunning and spiritually uplifting content for our church services, events, and digital platforms. Additionally, this role involves leadership responsibilities, including training and mentoring our volunteer video team.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Production:
- Operate video cameras and other recording equipment to capture high-quality footage for various church functions, including services, events, and special projects.
- Handle all aspects of on-site and studio filming, ensuring lighting, sound, and visuals are optimally configured.
Post-Production:
- Edit video content to produce final cuts that are polished and aligned with Impact Church’s mission and vision.
- Manage post-production workflows, including editing, color grading, sound design, and rendering.
Creative Direction:
- Collaborate with church leadership and the media team to develop creative concepts for video projects.
- Translate pastoral visions and scriptural messages into compelling visual narratives.
Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead and develop the volunteer video and photography teams, providing training and guidance in video production techniques, photo editing and best practices.
- Schedule and coordinate the video and photography teams to ensure coverage of all church events requiring video support.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and manage video production equipment, ensuring all gear is functional, organized, and up-to-date.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases to enhance the quality of video production.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs align with church goals.
- Maintain a project calendar and communicate regularly with stakeholders about project status and needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cinematographer/Videographer with a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in both filming and editing.
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci) and camera equipment.
- Strong creative vision with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to lead and pastor volunteers, fostering a collaborative and enthusiastic team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Committed to the mission and values of Impact Church, with a passion for using visual media to enhance spiritual messages.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
