Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a carpenter’s assistant and videographer. We are looking to develop our Youtube presence as well as create on-ramping videos for new hires to scale our business.

This role is a hybrid position combining hands-on assistance with carpentry and woodworking operations, along with creative responsibilities for producing instructional videos. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and has an interest in woodworking and videography.

Primary ResponsibilitiesCarpenter/Woodworker’s Helper

• Tool Maintenance: Keep all tools clean and in excellent working condition by wiping them down daily with mineral spirits.
• Work Trailer Organization: Ensure the work trailer is well-organized, with all tools, materials, and equipment stored neatly.
• Trailer Management: Hook and unhook the work trailer as needed and ensure its readiness for transport.
• Material Handling: Move, load, and restock materials into the trailer efficiently and safely.
• Trash Management: Remove all trash and debris from the workspace and trailer daily, maintaining a clean and professional environment.

Videographer Responsibilities:

• Video Production: Record high-quality instructional videos for company processes and procedures, focusing on clarity and professionalism.
• Camera & Lighting Setup: Plan and set up camera angles, shots, and lighting to ensure instructional videos are visually effective.
• Data Management: Download all recorded footage onto a master hard drive for secure storage.
• Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure video content meets company standards and captures all necessary details.
• Video Editing Preparation: Organize and label footage for efficient editing and uploading to a private YouTube channel for training and onboarding purposes.

Job Requirements:

• Basic understanding of carpentry and woodworking processes is preferred but not required.
• Experience with videography, including camera operation and lighting setup.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as moving materials and organizing tools.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to manage files and data storage.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
• Tools & Equipment Knowledge
• Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and cleaning supplies like mineral spirits.
• Experience with camera equipment and basic lighting setups.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-time or part-time, based on company needs.
• Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
