JOB TITLE: YouTube Video Editor

REPORTS TO: DR. SARAH SAXON, the COO, and the Clinical Manager

Job Summary:

Saxon MD Facial Plastic Surgery is seeking a talented and detail-oriented YouTube Video Editor to create high-quality video content for our social media channels, YouTube, promotional campaigns, and internal training. This part-time position offers flexible hours, averaging 10-20 hours per month, making it ideal for someone looking to apply their skills in a dynamic and professional setting.

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio showcasing their video editing expertise, a strong understanding of storytelling, and the ability to stay within brand guidelines while creating content that captivates viewers. This role requires discretion in handling sensitive information and a commitment to confidentiality.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Edit videos for YouTube, social media platforms, promotional campaigns, and internal training purposes.
  • Ensure video content adheres to Saxon MD’s brand guidelines and maintains a cohesive style.
  • Incorporate feedback from Dr. Saxon, the COO, and the Clinical Manager to refine and enhance video projects.
  • Optimize videos for engagement, leveraging knowledge of what attracts viewers to YouTube and other platforms.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling patient-related or sensitive practice information.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in video editing with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to create engaging and coherent content for English-speaking audiences.
  • Familiarity with best practices for YouTube and social media video content.
  • Understanding of brand alignment and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a flexible schedule.

Preferred Skills:

  • Graphic design, animation, or other creative skills to enhance video quality.
  • Knowledge of current YouTube video trends and strategies for maximizing viewer retention.

  • This role is majority remote with a highly flexible schedule, requiring minimal supervision. Ideal for a self-starter who can manage deadlines and deliver professional content within a collaborative framework.

  • Make effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
  • Use appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
  • Report potential risks identified

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
