Social Media Videographer/Marketing Assistant – Mandarin required

About Us:

Magic Matrix is a new media company seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team. You will be required to film at various locations between Arcadia and Irvine; and you will have the flexibility of working from home to edit videos on days if required. You will also be required to post content on social media platforms such as: Tiktok, Douyin, Xiaohongshu.

Position Overview:

• We are looking for a creative and talented Full/Part-Time Videographer and Marketing assistant to assist our team in capturing, editing, and posting engaging video content for Social Media.
• This role will primarily focus on shooting content for business owners to effectively market their brand and offerings.
• You will be required to assist with posting content and engaging with posts on Chinese social media platforms.
• You will be required to help set up lights, camera, and mics.
• You may also be asked to go to our office in Irvine or other filming locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Videography: Capture high-quality video footage of brokers/ agents.
• Marketing Assistance: Engage on social media platforms by liking, commenting and favoriting posts.
• Editing: Edit and post video content to create polished and compelling videos for various marketing channels (TikTok, Instagram, XiaoHongShu, Douyin, etc.).
• Storyboarding: Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to plan and develop creative video concepts.
• Equipment Management: Maintain and operate videography equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align video content with our brand messaging and marketing strategies.
• Feedback Integration: Actively seek feedback and make necessary adjustments to video projects based on team input and objectives.
• Content Optimization: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve video quality and engagement.

Qualifications:

• Mandarin proficiency is a must.
• Familiar with Sony FX3 camera.
• Prior experience in videography and video editing is preferred.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Strong creative and storytelling skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and an eye for visual aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for videography and a desire to continuously improve skills.
• College students with relevant coursework or experience are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours and Compensation:

• Part-time position starting from 25 hours per week or full time from 40 hours per week.
• Hourly wage ranges from $17 to $23 per hour.
