Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Producer/Editor to join our team and help bring engaging, informative, and visually appealing content to life for a YouTube channel focused on psychology, mental health, and addiction. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, experienced in video production, and adept at editing high-quality content that resonates with a diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video Production:
• Record videos with professional audio and video equipment.
• Set up and manage lighting, sound, and camera equipment for studio or on-location shoots.
• Video Editing:
• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos, adding graphics, music, captions, and other post-production elements.
• Ensure videos align with the channel’s tone, message, and audience preferences.
• Create thumbnail designs and optimize content for YouTube.
• Content Strategy:
• Collaborate to develop creative ideas and formats for videos based on channel goals and trends in the psychology and mental health niche.
• Stay updated on YouTube best practices, algorithm changes, and emerging trends.
• Project Management:
• Manage and organize video files and assets.
• Meet deadlines for content delivery and ensure timely uploads.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Experience with cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Strong understanding of YouTube content creation and optimization strategies.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge or interest in psychology, mental health, or addiction topics.
• Graphic design skills for thumbnails and visual assets.
• Familiarity with motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects) is a plus.

Compensation:

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Contract

Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
