HumblePod is looking for a part-time Video Podcast Editor to join our team in Knoxville, TN. We’re a podcast production company with a reputation for industry excellence and attention to detail in production and execution. While we’re based in Knoxville, we have a team that is remotely distributed across the globe. Our team enjoys all the trappings of remote work (dogs at our feet, cats on our keyboards, and kids running about the house), and are focused on helping some of the world’s leading tech voices be heard in the world of podcasting.
Currently, we are hiring a part-time Video Podcast Editor to assist our team in the podcast production cycle. This role will require a focus on quality, clarity, and creativity as we produce high-end content that rivals industry leaders. They will be responsible for editing podcasts as well as supporting clients with in-person recordings. The Video Podcast Editor will also be responsible for delivering podcasts in time to meet production deadlines and will be a key player in helping build HumblePod’s standards for content quality.
Responsibilities
- Edit four to five podcasts per week
- Assist with recording new podcasts on-site in our studio and on location (as needed)
- Work with clients and HumblePod team to manage production timelines
- Keep editing and production on track and ahead of production deadlines
- Assist with creative aspects of editing video content
- Adding and creating basic motion graphics and lower-thirds for podcasts
- Cleaning & restoring low-quality & damaged audio
- Cut & edit short-form media content for social media
- Ability to work occasional nights & weekends to ensure client success around the world
- Uploading podcasts & scheduling social media posts
Required Skills
- Relevant associates or undergraduate degree (or at least three years of professional work experience)
- Proven ability to create & consistently produce podcast content
- Keen attention to detail
- Self-directed and proactive problem-solver
- Strong project and time management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience using project management software (experience with ClickUp is a plus!)
- Proven experience with DaVinci Resolve (or Adobe Audition) & iZotope software
- Experience with using Google Drive & Dropbox
Preferred Skills
- Experience with creating, hosting, and/or producing a podcast
- Actively producing or participating in an ongoing podcast
- Adobe Creative Suite tools (Specifically Audition, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- DaVinci Resolve
- Blackmagic Design production gear and cameras
- Experience working with tech companies or startups
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
