Full job description
‘Studio B’ are looking for an awesome Editor to join our team full-time in London!
We’re a fast-moving, fast-growing creative production company with an audience of 21 million+ followers and we create new exciting content every week. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Editor who is super passionate about helping to make content that will blow our audience away.
We’re looking for a candidate who loves the social space (Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) and wants to be a part of a buzzy, vibrant team who are all driven by creating incredible content! We are a collaborative company, so everyone is involved in the brainstorming/ idea creation process and we would love to have a like-minded individual join our team and be part of this.
**Please note – this is a full-time in the office (Mon-Fri) role with no option for hybrid working. Our offices are in: London North Studios, The Ridgeway, Millbrook Park, London NW7 1RP
About the role:
We are in search of a talented and experienced Editor to join our wonderfully chaotic and crazily innovative team! This role requires someone who is super passionate about editing, who loves sinking their teeth into a challenging timeline, and who can craft a compelling story from hours of footage. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for storytelling to elevate our content to new heights. We’re also looking for someone who is happy to edit short-form just as much as long-form!
What you’ll do:
Long-Form Content:
You’ll be the wizard behind the scenes, editing videos that range from 3 minutes to 20 minutes or more! Here are some examples of the kind of stuff you could be working on – this changes month by month, depending on what projects we take on:
- Behind-the-Scenes Magic: Show the world what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling.
- Filmmaking Challenges: For example, our VFX artists compete against each other to make the best VFX video using PowerPoint!
- Interviews & Chat Shows: Bring our conversations with guests and celebrities to life.
- Vlogs: Share our daily adventures in an engaging and dynamic way.
- Short Films, Sketches, & Parodies: Create compelling narratives that entertain and inspire.
- Trailers, Showreels, & Proof-of-Concepts: Craft teasers that leave audiences wanting more.
Short-Form Content:
Jump into the fast-paced world of short-form videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram:
- Snappy & Engaging Ads: Editing fun, captivating content for the internet.
- Cut-downs: Transform our longer edits into snappy, engaging shorts.
- Final Comps: Add the finishing touches with time remapping, sound design, and colour grading to make our viral VFX shorts pop!
- Tutorials & Breakdowns: Edit instructional content that’s as educational as it is entertaining, including before-and-after showcases.
Key Skills:
- A Diverse Portfolio: Show us your magic across documentaries, short films, interviews, corporate videos, and social media content. We want to see your versatility, creativity, and the unique flair you bring to every project.
- Editing Mastery: Proficient with DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro? Fantastic! Bonus points if you can dazzle us with your After Effects skills.
- Social Media Savvy: You’re not just a storyteller; you’re a social media maestro. You know the ins and outs of various platforms, understand their audiences, and stay on top of current editing styles and trends.
- Detail-Oriented Storyteller: You have a sharp eye for detail and a deep passion for weaving compelling narratives.
- Organisational Guru: Tight deadlines? No problem. Your strong organisational skills ensure you can handle the pressure like a pro.
- Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must. You thrive in a team environment, bringing enthusiasm and a positive attitude to every project.
Perks:
- Creative Freedom: Unleash your creativity and bring your wildest ideas to life.
- Fun Environment: Work in a lively office with a team that’s as passionate about fun as they are about work.
- Growth Opportunities: Learn from the best and grow your skills in a supportive environment.
- Awesome Projects: Work on exciting projects with top-tier brands and see your work shine on big platforms.
If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to see how you’ll bring your unique storytelling vision to our team. Ready to join the adventure? Apply now via our careers site: https://join.studiob.net/jobs/4508707-editor
