We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, proficient and versatile Videographer to join our team. Please note this is a permanent role that will be based out of our Hoxton studio, five days a week.
Joining our team provides a unique opportunity to help represent the Amazon brand visually, set global video standards, and innovate with creative sensibility for our customers.
The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who will manage all aspects of video production from concept through final delivery ensuring that all elements confirm to the core tenants of the specific video format or program and the creative vision. This is a hands-on position that includes executing creative direction, creating category specific templates, establishing procedures, building production workflows and studio layout, and ensuring visual consistency across multiple projects and categories, while continuously raising the bar on quality and AI technology.
Reporting to the Studio Manager while working closely with internal business teams and category teams, you start with the customer in mind and understand the powerful role that video content plays in supporting business goals and creating an engaging customer journey. You will be skilled in developing new resources for video projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and sharing knowledge on up to date technology. You will motivate your creative teammates and encourage fresh thinking and new approaches to video.

You will provide clear ownership and accountability to anything you drive and see it through beyond completion. You will show a relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business priorities.

- Film, edit, and direct, and/or produce a wide variety of video content.
- Be tactical as well as strategic, working on set when required and knowing how to prioritise projects
- Create own-brand videos to shape the look and feel of the Amazon Style Guide.
- Identify category trends, past performance metrics, and creative insights and aggregate these to make recommendations to leadership
- Manage complex systems problems and productions. Bring solutions, simplify, optimize and remove bottlenecks, making short term vs long term trade-offs.
- Be proficient in the majority of production processes – digital content creation, location capture, on-set photography, footage post-processing.
- Taking projects where the implementation is not defined and deliver on schedule, applying appropriate technologies and industry virtual production best practices
- Contribute to team strategic vision statements, playbooks, roadmaps, and business reviews.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in photography, videography or related field
- Commercial video production experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Mocha, Photoshop, Color Grading
- Skill sets required: Motion Tracking, Keying, Rotoscopy, Match moving, Color Correction, Typography
- Strong film and photographic lighting and compositional skills.
- Supervise and direct projects with outside creative agencies and production companies
- Understanding of the video production process, equipment, technology and roles
- Be a creative problem solver
- Be able to maintain a positive attitude within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Mac and PC computing platforms, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written/verbal/presentational communication skills and collaborative skills
- Experience in communicating with stakeholders across multiple teams
- Strong proof reading and content creation skills.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a Broadcast, Animation, Design, Media or Artistic related field
- Experience working in a metrics/productivity-based environment
- Demonstrate ability to analyze problems logically
- Demonstrate positive, results oriented attitude open to stakeholder feedback
