Full job description

The Department of Student Media in the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) is currently seeking a student staff videographer to join their team of professionals.

Duties include the following:

Responsible for taking video for PantherNOW.
Must ensure all videos are well-edited and accompanied with accurate and well-written caption information.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Story-telling and question-giving skills.
Capable of working in a team.
Video capturing and editing skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Google Docs/ Drive, and other relevant programs.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
