Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and talented Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a natural storyteller with a passion for creating compelling visual content. They should be highly skilled in video editing software, proficient in lighting and audio, and have a keen eye for detail. The Videographer will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content featuring game action, community outreach initiatives and other stories that align with Ottawa Black Bears vision and audience. The candidate is required to be on-site for all Ottawa Black Bears games (home and away; travel required). Proficiency in both official languages and understanding of the National Lacrosse League is a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and promotional materials.
- Craft engaging narratives through video that resonate with our target audience and effectively communicate our brand message.
- Set up and manage lighting and audio equipment to ensure high-quality production standards in all video content.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to capture compelling content that aligns with corporate goals and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, design, social media) to ensure video content supports broader campaigns and initiatives.
- Maintain and manage video equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and ready for use.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in videography, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of video content including live action sports, preference will be given to those with knowledge of Box Lacrosse.
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), lighting techniques, and audio equipment.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling video content.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all content meets high-quality standards.
- Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to the table helping support both internal and third-party goals and objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Must be able to travel domestically and within the United States.
- Must be available to work all Black Bears home and away games (travel required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in motion graphics and animation.
- Knowledge of color grading and sound design.
- Experience in creating content for social media platforms.
