Unwritten
Full job description
Please note: This role has a two-week minimum time commitment, with the possibility of extension.
About Unwritten Unwritten makes financial sense of climate change. We are a diverse, London-based team of economists, engineers, and finance professionals committed to driving billions towards climate solutions.
Our mission has been featured by organisations such as the Financial Times, Business Insider, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Pinpointing the risks and opportunities of the climate transition is an enormous data engineering challenge — Unwritten translates this complexity into clear financial signals.
Job description You will work closely with the client-facing team to expand Unwritten’s marketing assets. Specifically, you will create static advertisement designs for pamphlets, banners, and our website. You will also own the production and post-production of a demo video, following a storyboard that we will provide.
These branding assets will showcase work of the team over the previous two years to develop state-of-the-art economic and financial models that operate at a 1B+ point data scale. The team is uniquely positioned, as we approach the full commercial launch of our integrated climate risk assessment platform for private market investors.
This is a two-week minimum role to be completed in-person Monday – Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays. Your hours will be 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (80 hour minimum commitment to this project).
Start date: As soon as possible.
Key responsibilities You will be essential in enhancing Unwritten’s digital brand presence. This means that you will:
- Design static graphics for use in digital and print material, building on the visual identity and existing assets of the company.
- Provide creative input to our storyboard and own the direction, recording, and post-production of a demo video of the platform.
- Critically evaluate our website and offer suggestions for the continued development of the website’s creative direction.
What we offer Unwritten is a dynamic, fast-growing, and collaborative company that is backed by leading venture funds and academics. We are pioneers in the rapidly developing space of climate economics, and as a growing startup, will provide a valuable springboard for your career in climate, tech, or sustainable finance.
You will receive training from the senior leadership at Unwritten and a mentor from the team. You will also join Unwritten’s swiftly growing network within the climate ecosystem, and will gain valuable, first-hand project management experience in a fast-paced fintech startup.
Compensation and benefits:
You will be paid the London Living Wage of £13.15/hour, for a minimum project total of £1,052 (over two weeks).
In addition, you will have access to a list of benefits that includes:
- Daily lunch & snacks in office
- Opportunities to attend climate events in London
- Access to mentorship and learning resources via our team, investors, and partners.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
- Has experience with suitable graphic design and video editing software, ideally through previous work experience or education.
- Has a keen creative mind and the ability to represent complex ideas in visual media, demonstrated in a portfolio / showreel.
- Is receptive and collaborative, but able to provide constructive, creative challenges to senior management and other team members.
- Is passionate about averting the climate crisis and seeks hands-on experience with a climate tech startup.
