Position Details
The College’s marketing and communications team is looking for a talented and creative person who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled in the art of visual storytelling. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, responsive, and committed to hitting their deadlines. You do not need to be a forestry student or have in-depth science knowledge to succeed in this role.

- Providing digital asset management tasks, including responsibility for securing and tracking model releases
- Capturing photography and videography for digital content & storytelling
- Editing video and photo content in Adobe Creative Suite
- Attending College of Forestry events to capture visual assets
- Collaborate with other student workers to develop social content, serving as back-up social media content developer
- Support College of Forestry merch store and inventory management
- Additional activities as assigned
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong smartphone photography/videography skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Create Suite and Canva
- Experience with editing videos
- Confidence to reach out directly to students/faculty and arrange in-person videos/photos
- Ability to take direction and complete assignments on deadline
- Interest in fine arts, public relations, communications or related fields
- Driver’s license
- Experience with DSLR cameras
