Our core values?Reliability, Passion, One Team, and Results?guide what we do, from hiring to project completion and everything in between.*Position Overview:*The Project Department Manager holds the responsibility of ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability within their assigned department through the provision and execution of effective processes and strategies. This role will also have a seat on the senior leadership team, collaborating with other leaders to contribute to the development and successful execution of the organization’s vision and 10-year strategic plan.*Performance Objectives:*· Successfully plan and execute projects and the department within budget.· Effectively manage project budgets to maximize profitability.· Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.· Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained on all projects.· Foster a high-performing project team through effective leadership and continuous development.· Ensure the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations.· Efficiently manage staffing levels and labor allocation to optimize project performance and resource utilization.· Demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire, and coach team members.· Implement actions to deliver best-in-class client satisfaction.· Lead the development and execution of the department’s safety strategy.· Achieve and maintain accountability for the department’s P&L.· Manage operating expenses by optimizing processes, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring efficient resource utilization.· Contribute effectively to Quarterly All-Team Meetings.· Contribute to the development and successful execution of the organization’s vision and 10-year strategic plan.*Capabilities/Key Competencies:*· Proven experience as a Project Manager in the mechanical or commercial construction industry.· Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.· Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to diverse audiences, including staff, clients, and stakeholders.· Familiarity with relevant software tools for project management.*Compensation:*$101,662.35 – $127,726.03 per year. Monthly incentive compensation up to 20% of base salary.*Benefits:*· Full Benefits· RRSP Match· Social Club (Annual camping and Skiing trips, etc.)· Employee Referral Bonus· Paid Time Off (40 hours)· 3 Weeks Vacation· On-Site Parking*Education / Experience:*· Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role.· PMP Certification considered an asset.· A bachelor?s degree in a relevant field and/or several years of progressively responsible experience in project management.*Working Conditions:*This position performs work inside and outside the office environment and may be subject to extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and other environmental factors.
