Director of Fabrication

Position Summary:

The working supervisor of Fabrication will lead the production of high-quality client displays and custom fixtures, with a primary focus on wood picture frames. This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in fabrication processes, and a commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

– Oversee and manage the fabrication team to ensure efficient production of displays and fixtures, maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
– Develop and implement production processes, including finishing operations such as cutting, installing grommets, laminating, and mounting printed jobs.
– Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of all fabrication equipment, establishing regular cleaning and maintenance schedules.
– Manage inventory levels and organize fabrication supplies to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
– Collaborate with the installation team to ensure seamless execution of projects and timely delivery to clients.
– Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

– Extensive experience in woodworking, finish carpentry, or sign/display fabrication, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout all projects.
– Proficient in the use of fabrication tools and machinery, including routers, jig saws, table saws, hinge machines, and hand tools.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
