Production Assistant / Videographer

Stingray, Lloydminster has a very rare opening in the Television Production Department for our stations in Lloydminster. Lloydminster is a bustling, multi-cultural city on the border of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Located between Saskatoon and Edmonton, it boasts a beautiful country side and plenty of amenities. This is an exciting opportunity to produce locally relevant content and assist in a modern production control room environment. The successful candidate will:

§ Help to produce all aspects of our daily newscasts.

§ Post stories / newscasts / programs to social media (including YouTube).

§ Trim, edit, and assemble together panels, interviews, and stories from the week into compilation program packages.

§ Assist in the generation and assembly of graphical packages / templates for our local programming.

§ Shoot, edit, and/or write one or more stories per week, time permitting.

§ Have a degree/Diploma in television broadcasting, along with a valid driver’s license.

§ Be experienced with Inception News

§ Have Knowledge of Adobe or Final Cut editing systems

§ Have prior experience filming news / sports / documentary / style programming

§ Meet tight deadlines

§ Be a conscientious, dependable and detail-oriented team player.

§ Have excellent people skills, professional attitude & appearance.
