Videographer
The Sentinel-Record seeks a Videographer to join our award winning team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile content creator with the ability to capture news as it happens as well as create photo and video stories. The Sentinel-Record is a print/digital media company that is actively and creatively pursuing the news. We are looking for someone who will come to this role with an abundance of ideas and energy. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, holidays and weekends. All candidates are required to have a car and a valid driver’s license. This job may require on camera work by the individual.
Strong writing skills are a plus.
All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. A medical marijuana card DOES NOT EXEMPT you from having to pass the drug screening.
Job duties include: Report visual stories that accurately inform and engage readers digitally and in print. Create and edit videos/photo galleries for website, social media and all other platforms Cover daily assignments like sports, breaking news, events etc., via video and stills. Gather visual content that has an impact on the community. Collaborate with reporters and marketing team to provide the best possible visual elements. Transmit video on assignment from breaking news or other key live assignments.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience and education. A strong portfolio that shows the videographer’s ability and range in stills and video.
·· Candidates must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
· Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
· Safety-Sensitive position pursuant to Act 593 of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment
· This is NOT A REMOTE POSITION. Job is performed in Garland County, Arkansas. Successful candidate must work from our offices in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
