The Voyager Foundation specializes in providing moments to make dreams come true for children with special needs. These proms, concerts, and other special events provide an environment where these wonderful children can experience the joy and excitement of a night out, with professional photography, limousine rides, star-quality entertainment, DJs, fantastic food, and other amazing activities. All of this is provided completely FREE to the children and their families! We are looking for individuals who wish to grow with us as we continue our expansion throughout the United States.

Why We Need You
Voyager Foundation is continuing to grow and in order to help with marketing and reaching targeted audiences, we are looking for a Video Editor Assistant to help develop projects and get the word out about the Voyager Foundation. We are ideally looking for someone who is proficient in editing and can start handling projects independently very quickly.

Video Editor
We are looking for a Video Editor Assistant with a passion for filming and editing to work alongside our Video Editor and team of content creators. You will be responsible for editing videos for a variety of social media platforms including YouTube and TikTok. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced techniques, incorporating music, voiceovers, graphics, and other effects in the editing process.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Voyager Foundation to film and edit videos and pictures from events
• Assist with editing videos to advertise for the foundation and events
• Assist with creating promotional material for the Voyager Foundation
• Edit videos for a variety of platforms (YouTube, TikTok, etc.) and any other projects the Voyager Foundation may require
• Utilize additional elements to enhance edits with music, voiceovers, graphics, and effects
• Take notes on cuts and adjust edits to revisions
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
• Ability to prioritize projects and change priorities accordingly
• Communicate project timelines and manage project expectations from assignment to delivery with project managers
• Assist with recording, set setup, and set teardown
• Assist with data management
• Take direction, as well as work independently or in a team environment
• Assist with filming as needed

Skills

• Video editing: 4 year (Required)
• Chromakeying (green screen use)
• Problem-solving
• Communication (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
• Interpersonal
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Experience in Adobe After Effects
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Experience in video production and camera operation
• Basic understanding of interview setup
• Basic understanding of lighting and audio setups
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop (Preferred)
• Understanding of the ipp2 workflow (Preferred)

Hours
Monday-Friday (10:00am-6:30pm) with a 30 minute lunch break.
