General Purpose:

We are seeking a creative and skilled Digital Content Creator/Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing, editing, brainstorming and producing high-quality, compelling videos that align with our brand’s voice and strategy to be used on the MDA website, social media, and other web digital platforms throughout the tripartite membership. The candidate should have a strong understanding of video production, storytelling, and digital marketing trends with a focus on accuracy, ability to meet tight deadlines, and teamwork.

This position will have an active role in generating content ideas and using independent judgment to complete projects from planning through post-production to amplify the MDA’s mission, improve brand reputation, and better engage with key audiences.

Essential Job Functions*

Video Production:

• Plan, shoot, and edit video content, including promotional videos, interviews, and social media clips.
• Collaborate with Directors to develop video concepts that align with brand messaging and association goals.
• Manage all aspects of video production, including lighting, sound, camera operation, and post-production editing.
• Ensure all video content meets brand standards and is delivered on time and within budget.

Content Creation:

• Develop engaging and innovative digital content for websites, social media platforms, and other digital channels.
• Responsible for editing and repurposing existing video content for use across different platforms.
• Assist in the creation of visual assets, including photography and graphic design, as needed.

Social Media and Digital Strategy:

• Work closely with the key stakeholders to create content tailored to each platform, ensuring maximum engagement and reach.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in digital content, video production, and social media to continuously improve content strategies.
• Analyze content performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize engagement and conversion rates.

Project Management:

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Maintain an organized archive of video footage, project files, and digital assets.
• Ensure all content is optimized for various platforms, including mobile devices and desktop.

Qualifications:

·General Educational/Experiential Development

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment such as Film, Digital Media, Communications or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a videographer, video editor, or digital content creator.

Specific Educational/Experiential Development:

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
• Experience with sound and lighting techniques
• Ability to shoot and edit a variety of videos styles (interview, social media, long and short form digital series)
• Experience creating content for social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation

·Working Conditions:

• This position requires frequent travel throughout MI.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on project needs.

Comments:

· This position is salaried and no overtime pay is provided. Additional work hours are expected to complete projects/requests in a timely manner may require overtime, for example during annual session.

· The employee in this position is required to spend some time performing duties and responsibilities related to MDA subsidiary functions and activities.
