VFX ASSISTANT EDITOR

We are looking for a VFX Assistant Editor for daily assistance to VFX Editorial. We operate a hybrid working model in our brand new East London office.

Working closely with clients in the advertising, film, TV and music industries, we provide a full-service post-production and VFX offering including high-end colour grading, 2D & 3D visual effects, shoot supervision, animation, design, direction and concept. Description

• This exciting entry level role involves providing support duties for internal and client screenings in addition to preparation of presentations for review.
• As part of the role, you will ingest and log material, collate, digitise and export material for Submission of WIPS and final delivery.
• Encode and transcode said material using Hiero (amongst other tools).
• Editorial support includes assisting the VFX Editor in show-running duties, ingest, house-keeping, QC and submission of client materials, compiling and editing various elements and references.
• This role is occasionally client-facing and requires someone technically adept, calm and a good communicator.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Foundry software such as Nuke and Hiero, is prefered.
• Familiarity with CG files – Lidar etc.
• Familiarity with editing software such as Davinci Resolve or Premiere Pro.
• Experience of video editing.
• Good understanding of video codecs and file formats.
• Strong IT skills.
• Well versed in Excel.
• Detail oriented.
