Videographer/Editor

We are seeking a talented Videographer/Editor to join our team. In addition to having basic videography skills (recording and editing), the ideal candidate will also be very familiar with saltwater fishing and be comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.

The Videographer/Editor will help with recording, editing, and posting fishing reports from a dozen or so captains/guides using Restream, and then we organize those dozen videos into a (roughly) one-hour video, as well as make a one-minute highlight reel. We then post the full video to Vimeo and the full audio to Hello Audio, and we post the highlight reels to YouTube and our social media platforms.

The Videographer/Editor will help 1-3 weeks per month with recording (we typically record on Mondays from 6:30-8:00 pm), as well as editing and posting, and the ideal candidate will also be able to fill in as needed with interviewing the captains/guides.

Saltwater fishing knowledge (inshore, nearshore, and/or offshore) is required.

Responsibilities
– Record and capture short videos remotely (podcast-style) using Restream

– Edit footage to remove any errors or unwanted footage
– Ensure seamless transitions and continuity throughout the video
– Enhance video quality and audio adjustments to achieve a professional production

– Ask captains/guides follow up questions as needed to capture detailed fishing reports
– Post videos on time and meet the required specifications

Qualifications
– Experience with video editing software (required)

– Ability to communicate well with guests both on and off camera (required)

– Strong knowledge and familiarity with saltwater fishing (required)
– Experience with posting video and audio to platforms such as Vimeo, Youtube, Facebook, Hello Audio, and/or Instagram (preferred)
– Experience with Restream or similar software (preferred)
– Experience with WordPress (preferred)

The starting hourly rate is $15-$20/hour. The number of hours varies from 3-10 hours per week.
