We are looking for a talented video editor who can work independently to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches campaign goals, which could be multi-variant depending on the media selected (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, website, internal, recruiting, commercial video, DSP, CTV, etc.). Ultimately, as a film and video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story and have a solid understanding of the different videos that work best for different medias.
Responsibilities
  • Create a brief based on intake from involved team members to grasp needs and specifications and build the story boards for the project
  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience

  • Work with external videographers to provide them with direction on needs (shot list, scenes, copy points if speaking in videos, etc.)
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
  • Create rough and final cuts, which includes rounds of revisions from end users
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a video editor
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. PremierePro, Adobe, After Effects and Final Cut)
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
  • Self-starter comfortable offering suggestions outside of their direct work as well as the ability to accept recommendations about their work
  • Familiarity with special effects and compositing
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills with the ability to advertise to various age groups and medias differently
  • Degree in video design or digital media preferred
