Position Summary
The recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (Working as-needed; up to a maximum of 20 hours per week) student worker (Photographer/Videographer) position Community Relations and Marketing at OSU-Cascades in Bend.
The Photographer/Videographer supports OSU-Cascades marketing team with the production of content for OSU’s institutional level social networks.
The position will create and execute content for all OSU-Cascades media outlets including Web, Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, print media and more.
This will include coverage of events, trips, classes and student life.
The pay range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience.
Position Duties
80% Content production including photos, videos, and other media collateral.
10% Finding events, stories and scheduling.
10% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Interest or experience with Photography and Video using a digital camera.
A commitment to creating inclusive content for diverse audiences.
Willingness to work as a team member and take creative direction from others.
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas in a clear manner.
Must be available for night and weekend coverage upon request.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Including, Lightroom, Photoshop and video production experience.
Experience editing video and stills.
