Do you dream of turning video content into viral social media gold? We are too! If you’re a master of making magic with cuts, transitions, and killer visuals, we want you on our team! But you’ve gotta work FAST. We’re looking for a video editor to create DAILY captivating content for YouTube and social media for a groundbreaking channel right here in central NJ that helps people all over the world learn more about plants and what plants they should plant in their yards. This is your chance to turn raw footage into interesting content and learn a lot about plants all along the way.

Responsibilities:
– Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring smooth transitions, audio synchronization, and visual effects
– Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives and deliver
– Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
– Incorporate motion graphics, titles, and visual effects to enhance the video content
– Ensure all videos are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards
– Manage and organize video files and assets
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and software to continuously improve editing skills

Skills:
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere and Adobe Illustrator
– Strong knowledge of video production processes and techniques
– Experience in editing various types of videos, including promotional videos, interviews, event coverage, etc.
– Familiarity with motion graphics and ability to create engaging visual effects
– Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
– Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

Preferred Skills:
– Experience with Final Cut Pro is a plus
– Basic photography skills

This is a paid position. We offer competitive compensation based on experience.

Again, What You’ll Be Doing:

Transform ordinary footage [provided daily] of plant selection, plant maintenance, what to plant now, into extraordinary, long-from and short-form YouTube ready edits. Hook viewers from the very first frame with dynamic intros that capture the essence of how cool plants are.

Become a master storyteller by weaving together in store videos of our team, interviews with the Bountiful Gardens staff and customers, action shots of our landscape team installing a new garden, and killer B-roll footage that captures the gardening scene and how interesting plants are.

Craft engaging long form content and also take portions of it and turn it into short form specifically for various social media platforms (think bite-sized teasers for YouTube, behind-the-scenes snippets for Instagram Stories, and trendy challenges for TikTok).

Collaborate with our team to ensure each and every video hits a bullseye and perfectly captures the spirit of the show.
