Production Assistant role



We’re looking for a motivated Production Assistant to join our creative team at Blind Pig.

We direct, design, animate, and finish projects in both 2D and 3D mediums with a distinguished reputation. Blind Pig is a sibling company of the renowned VFX house, Absolute Post.

This is an entry-level position, so no experience is required, but an interest in animation and artful production is essential. The role is full-time, based in our Fitzrovia office at least 3-4 days a week (Mon-Fri). It’s perfect for someone looking for their first job in production, as it will provide invaluable insight into how a busy and successful production company operates.

As a member of a small in-house team, you’ll need to be comfortable taking the lead, stepping outside of your comfort zone, and learning new skills. You should be confident in your creative taste and eager to lend a hand wherever possible.

Job Outline:

• This is a production specific role, ensuring the office runs smoothly day-to-day
• Supporting Producers, Creative Director, Leads and artists.
• Assisting in research and development on projects where needed
• Oversee office subscriptions, and supplies
• Keeping on top of all production schedules and updating shared team calendars
• Handling and filing final assets
• Supplying video files to the website, socials, festivals and other external companies.
• Fielding general enquiries and assisting on social media posting and management

Job requirements:

• An interest in animation/production, working knowledge of the industry and cultural trends
• A creative drive and general interest in the creative worlds of film, photography, art, fashion & advertising
• The ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure, managing several projects at a time.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel, adobe products and willingness to learn
• Willingness to learn about advertising and commercial production terminology
• be excited about supporting a team producing a variety of content, both corporate and creative
• be enthusiastic about and interested in social media and marketing
• be extremely well organised, a proactive planner, a master of multitasking
• be thoroughly capable of creating and managing spreadsheets and working across admin systems

• Attention to detail and methodical
• Personable, with strong communication skills and an enthusiastic nature
• Self-starter and able to prioritise tasks
• Calm and professional in a busy work environment
