Full job description
We are searching for 2 skilled and innovative Directors of Photography/Cameras Operators to join the Film Director and The Executive Producer for the production the Documentary film “DETROIT”.
This documentary is interview based and about political and social aspects of the city of Detroit. It will showcase the talent, creativity and resilience of the people of Detroit.
The production will last 5/6 days from 8:30AM to 5:30PM starting Sunday May 11th to May 15th/16th.
Each candidate should demonstrate;
– good technical camera operation skills, fixed camera and hand held shot,
- knowledge to control natural and artificial lighting conditions.
- knowledge to handle Lavaliere mic and Tascam recorder.
- strong adaptability to work a non-controlled environment.
- Technical and human resources to handle unexpected bumps on the set.
- good manner and personality in order to create and keep a good working environment.
The candidate will work under the Film Director’s guidance, and will be in charge of:
- the technical set up for the interviews
- the B-rolls
- the sound
- the daily collection and the restitution of the footage to the Film Director
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of filming/Photography experience. Experience of filming interviews is preferred . Driving license is mandatory.
The candidate should have his/her own equipment; camera/lighting gear/gimbal..: Sony camera is preferred.
Responsibilities:
– Operate cameras and related equipment to capture footage for various projects
– Set up and adjust cameras, lenses, lighting, and other equipment as needed
– Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure the desired shots
The candidates must reside in the city of Detroit as we are specifically looking for a crew very familiar with the city and its culture.

Job Types: Contract, Freelance
Pay: $150.00 per day

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
