Video Editor (Short Form/Social Media)

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Video Editor.

Cognizant Digital Practice helps clients reinvent products, experiences, and business models to create new value, differentiation, and drive revenue in the digital economy. We take an Experience centered approach which uses human insights to take ideas from vision to outcome and building end to end experience led solutions that enables brands to transform their customer and employee experiences using design, marketing, and commerce capabilities.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Candidates must currently reside within the San Fransisco metropolitan area and be willing to work in the office Monday through Friday)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
  • Edit and produce high-quality, engaging short-form video ads for social media and streaming platforms.
  • Conceptualize and execute creative ideas that align with the brand’s guidelines and messaging.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards and shot lists.
  • Manage and organize video footage, ensuring efficient workflow and quick turnaround times.
  • Apply advanced editing techniques, including transitions, motion graphics, sound effects, and color correction.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media video editing.

Key Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years proven experience as a professional Video Editor, with a strong portfolio of short-form video content.
  • 2+ experience using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop (experience with Adobe Illustrator, is a plus)
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and impactful video content.
  • A deep understanding of social media platforms and the ability to tailor content for specific audiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until 4/22/24.

The annual salary for this position is between $91,000 – $111,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
