The opportunity:

Video content is a core part of SS&C’s marketing strategy. Our videos both entertain customers and inform them about our wide range of products. All of this is possible thanks to our behind-the-scenes video staff. We’re looking for a skilled video producer and editor to work in both short and long formats, taking footage shot by production teams and editing it based on project specs. After showing a rough draft to stakeholders, they’ll be responsible for implementing project notes. The finished product will represent the best of the company and the video editor’s skill.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with multiple teams and individuals across the organization to understand their goals.
Guide the production and editing of video from ideation to execution for digital campaigns, websites, product launches, social media, client presentations, sales materials, live events and more.
Take a fresh look at current video production and work process and identify areas of opportunity and ways of improvement.
Video ideation and creation, with an eye towards consistency and company brand standards.
Ability to pick out attention grabbing images and graphics to tell a story and bring company ideas to life.
Ensure keen attention to detail in all creative work produced and be able to manage the process from beginning to end.
Ensure timely communication between stakeholders and utilize project management tools.

What You Will Bring:

Minimum of 3+ years of video production and editing experience with an in-house creative team, design firm or advertising agency.
Experience in all things video: develop motion graphics, source images, edit long and short form videos, develop titles and after effects, proficient with video editing software and A/V equipment.
Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to influence people at all levels and guide decision-making processes to achieve desired outcomes and works well in a team environment.
Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
Keen aesthetic sense, creative thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
At minimum, basic understanding of photography and videography, lighting, shooting live subjects, interviews, etc.
Experience with software, or similar software: Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Audition and Illustrator, Photoshop, Media Encounter, Vimeo
