Video Editor

Overclock Media is a video production company focused on creating web based content for YouTube and other social media platforms. We are looking for a Video Editor to join our team creating weekly episodes with a focus on PCs, tech, and gaming.

Responsibilities entails seeing the editing process to completion – from creating initial rough cuts/selects, to media management and full detail passes based on feedback. The position will also be responsible for collaborating with the team to pitch new topics, research, and script episodes.

Candidates must be comfortable operating under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create initial rough cuts of key moments from the raw footage including syncing, cutting, audio processing, and basic color grading
• Work within our guidelines to create video content that reinforces our style and voice
• Organize media; including ingesting raw footage, additional assets, and various exports
• See full edits to completion
• Pitch potential topics
• Collaborate with team to ensure ongoing quality and audience growth

Requirements:

• Proficient skills in video editing and video editing software. Final Cut Pro experience is required, experience with Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects is a plus
• Must be highly organized, proactive and able to communicate effectively
• Experience with Photoshop (or other photo editing software) is a plus, but not required
• Candidates must be knowledgeable in tech and gaming; including topics such as Apple, Android, Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo
• Experience with software such as Google Docs and Slack
• Ability to work within a fast pace environment
• Outstanding communication skills
• Have reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
