Job Description

We have a permanent full-time position in our Melbourne office in News Operations as an Editor. You will work closely with reporters, producers and cameramen to edit stories for all of Nine’s News and Current Affairs programming for both Online and television platforms.

The successful applicant will:

• Be required to work on a 24/7 rotating roster and work additional hours when required

• Be able to adapt to the frequently changing needs of news gathering operations

Qualifications

What we would like to see on your resume:

• Experience working in a server based news environment – developing polished content to meet specific deadlines
• Previous experience using Velocity ESX , Adobe Premiere or similar editing platforms to produce creative openers, colour-pieces, feature interviews and overlays
• An open, approachable style
• The ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• The willingness to adapt to new technology and practices
• An understanding of how to apply storytelling techniques
