POSITION TITLE: Video Editor
REPORTS TO: Director of Content
LOCATION: Onsite in the Park City, UT headquarters office
PAY GRADE: Salary
COMPENSATION RANGE: $50,000 – $60,000

JOB OVERVIEW:
Backcountry is looking for a talented Video Editor to join our dynamic Creative Marketing team. The Video Editor is responsible for managing footage across all video captures and editing our video content across our brand channels. The ideal candidate needs strong attention to detail, ability to receive and implement feedback, the ability to prioritize tasks based on a content calendar, and strong proficiency with industry-standard software and tools for color grading, audio, and special effects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and manage footage from video shoots in a clear, organized way that other videographers and team members can quickly access.
  • Edit Backcountry and Competitive Cyclist video content in a timely manner that aligns with the content calendar.
  • Post-produce videos using industry-standard software and tools including color grading, audio, and special effects.
  • Correspond with videographers to charge, prep, and maintain camera and lighting equipment during all stages of production
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies that can be used to improve and streamline our video production capabilities
  • Ensure on set hygiene and equipment functionality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in videography, film production, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in video production, with a focus on eCommerce, product marketing, or similar areas (Please include Portfolio in application)
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with mirrorless and cinema cameras, as well as professional-grade video equipment, including tripods, audio equipement, and lighting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • A passion for outdoor activities and the products we sell
