Video Editor – freelance

Fivel produces a wide variety of Learning Moments (read: training videos) covering all aspects of technology, using brain science to increase learning and long-term retention.

We’re seeking a freelance video editor who can work independently from their home studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video and audio editing;
• Animation of text and graphics, creation of graphics;
• Screenshot and video captures of UI;
• Quality assurance review of content and format;
• Collaborating to ensure all content and creative requirements are met;
• Focused attention on details, consistency and presentation quality

Qualifications/Skills:

• Diploma in Video Production or related field;
• 2-5 years experience in video production (or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience);
• Must have your own editing system;
• Understanding of graphic design and visual communications principles;
• Proficiency in video editing with After Effects and Adobe Premiere;
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop);
• Able to take initiative, be innovative yet practical, and formulate solutions;
• Effective time management; can be relied upon to meet deadlines;
• A good communicator, receptive to feedback and direction
