The pay rate is a bit below average at this time as we are a startup but we are definitely looking for a phenomenal video editor that can grow with the company and have a major opportunity for a competitive salary in the near future.
We are also offering points and revenue share on the backend of any project worked on . This will be further discussed in the interview process, if we choose to move forward with your application.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a video editor for a feature length film (Romantic Comedy)
Preferably someone at entry level, recent college graduate, that’s highly skilled, motivated, and looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with our company.
As a Video Editor at NanaHouse Productions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our creative output. You will work closely with our talented team to bring our visions to life, from raw footage to polished masterpieces. This role offers ample opportunities for growth and development, allowing you to refine your skills and carve out your niche in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage to produce high-quality videos that align with our creative vision and brand identity.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, sound designers, colorist and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and exceed client expectations.
- Continuously seek out ways to enhance storytelling techniques and experiment with new editing styles.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Assist in other aspects of production as needed, including color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative skills and technical proficiency.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for film and storytelling, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your craft.
- Must have your own video editing work space to accommodate 8TB of footage, with 10 bit rate format. Must be equipped with backup drives, a protected wifi connection, and high speed internet for transferring footage.
- Bachelor’s degree in film production, multimedia arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).

- Possibility of working in a professional world class editing suite within the offices of (Goldcrest Post Production facility) in Manhattan New York. Depending on how well the project goes.
