Carbonwurks is a small business in Poole. We specialise in Carbon Fibre products for road going cars and offer a range of different services from carbon fibre repair, performance car installations and modifying along with car maintenance & detailing.
Built from a Motorsports background, we remain an industry leader in our field and are expanding quickly to take on additional services we can offer the performance car world.
Part-time and temporary work – 4-6 weeks with potential for extension.
In this newly created position, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can bring their own exciting ideas to create automotive based content for our social media platforms (Youtube, TikTok, Instagram & Facebook). As a company, we produce and sell aftermarket car products ranging from body kit accessories to exhausts, suspensions kit and tuning products. We offer in-house installations for these performance parts as well as offer track car builds, restorations and undertaking quirky random projects. We are one of the leading companies in our field and operate with our various E-commerce sites as well as offering installations and in-house manufacturing.
We are looking for someone to join our company that would fit in with our small team and become a key member in making innovative content. The role would include key areas of varied work consisting of;
Main role
– Editing footage we have stockpiled from various installations over the past 12 months
Additional Roles
– Filming product installations on cars
– Filming day-to-day operations including some areas of manufacturing and off-site tasks
– Recording audio
– Photographing products
– Editing media content taken for various social platforms required along with uploading
– Creating graphics & thumbnails for YouTube content & website
– Assisting in social media-based admin – planning, updating etc
– Updating and maintenance of equipment
The role & responsibilities will include;
– Being able to work to tight deadlines with aim to releasing daily content across the board of platforms we operate in.
– Understanding the tasks at hand and being proactive with time allocations
– Ability to multitask with editing during down time with filming
– Resourcefulness with equipment and content that is available
– Taking a professional outlook on the work undertaken to give high quality and high end content
– Being organised and flexible to working hours if required
– Keen knowledge of cars to work with technicians and capturing the correct content
– Good skill with handheld cameras
– Confidence in abilities and being able to work with other members of staff
– Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.
– Familiarity with graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, etc.
– Knowledge of Photoshop for creating thumbnails
– Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant tools
– Having use of own editing equipment (laptop with editing software)
– Basic photography skills are a plus.
We believe that not everyone needs to have a degree to be able to produce high quality work, we do require candidates to have a portfolio of their creations sent over to give us a feel of whether they would be the right fit for us and the standard with our expectations can be met. We are looking for someone who is motivated to work in the automotive sector and is inspried by the performance based industry. Hours can be discussed, initially we would be looking for someone to come on board who can process through a mass of video content we have taken this year with the aim to film future projects and videos.
Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 4-6 weeks
Salary: £400.00-£500.00 per week
