Chad Wild Clay and Vy Qwaint – creators of the top YouTube series Spy Ninjas – are seeking a next-level video editor who is passionate about action + comedy and narrative storytelling.

With over 40 million YouTube subscribers and 14 billion lifetime views, we are a multi-channel entertainment brand focused on a group of friends whose mission is to save the internet from the evil group Scattered Skull. With new Spy Ninjas episodes dropping weekly, we need your help as we solve mysteries, battle hackers, and rescue the internet and life as we know it.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Expressing your personality through your editing full-time and in-house for a top YouTube channel based in Las Vegas, Nevada
• Adding to your amazing editing toolbelt learning best practices, storytelling tips, and the “secret sauce” from YouTube creators with over 12 years of content-making experience
• Developing multiple video projects from raw footage to final cut every week
• Staying up-to-date with and passionate about current YouTube trends
• Managing deadlines and prioritizing effectively with occasional late hour workdays
• Being a rock star who has fun editing great content, bloopers, and jump cuts with awesome people and a lot of creative freedom!

Requirements:

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED

• Minimum of 1 year editing YouTube videos
• Advanced knowhow and experience with Premiere (Final Cut is nice to have, but we are currently an Adobe Suite shop)
• A keen understanding of video storytelling and editing best practices, including timing and pace, music for effect, shortening and lengthening scenes, and the transferring and backing up of footage
• Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to succinctly communicate both verbally and in writing, and provide clear direction and updates during the editing process
• A desire to work in a team-first environment!
