We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team. I have a lot of footage that needs to be organized by date in chronological order. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. Your creativity and attention to detail will be crucial in producing high-quality videos.

Responsibilities:
– Edit video footage to create engaging and compelling content
– Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
– Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
– Ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the video
– Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements
– Review raw material to determine shot list
– Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of video editing techniques and software. You should also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with a creative team.

Skills required:
– Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Capture One, Adobe Bridge, and other video editing software
– Solid knowledge of post-production processes such as color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects
– Familiarity with graphic design principles, typography, and motion graphics
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
– Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
– Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Maya is a plus
