About ImageNova

ImageNova is a film production company based in the Cultural Quarter of Leicester. ImageNova offers film, video and television production services globally. Our productions cover online/social content, advertisements, television and documentaries. Our clients include Channel 4, BBC, Sony and Academy Award winning companies such as Panavision and Cooke Optics. Our services include concept development, pre-production, filming and editing. 

As part of our expansion moving forward, we are looking for a new core team member that will be responsible for camera operating and editing a variety of projects.

As part of this role you will be pre-producing the shoots alongside the production team and producers. You will be filming both solo and as part of a bigger production team, depending on the project. For post production, you will be editing projects using the Adobe Suite.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be reporting/working with the managing directors and producer to:

• Editing and colour grading a variety of projects, using Premiere Pro/Adobe Suite
• Camera operating on a variety of Sony Cinemaline cameras
• Pre-producing a variety of film projects
• Producing/Directing the production during solo camera operator jobs
• Recording audio using lapel and shotgun microphones. Monitoring audio channels
• Using an array of LED and tungsten lights on set for lighting interviews, locations and studios
• Recording audio using lapel and shotgun microphones. Monitoring audio channels
• Reviewing video output and ensuring it is of the highest quality
• Liaising directly with the client during various stages of the edit drafts
• Organising and preparing the equipment before and after shoots
• Creatively inputting ideas for upcoming projects
• Data wrangler on set and in the office

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong editing showreel/portfolio
• Strong Cinematography/camera operating experience, including handheld gimbal work
• A clear understanding of exceptionally produced, captured and edited film and video content
• Understanding and experience of shooting and grading LOG footage
• Working with Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro and After Effects)
• Sound mixing
• Client Liaison experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to get on with people at all levels
• Excellent communication, written skills and organisational ability
• Full UK driving licence

WORKING HOURS, PATTERNS AND ENVIRONMENT

• 8 hour days (flexible working hours available)
• Office hours are 10am – 6pm, Monday-Friday. Flexible hours are always offered, subject to work deadlines
• We expect the candidate to work from the Leicester office where possible, although remote working solutions are offered and we are happy to negotiate these terms
• The Leicester office is available 24 hours a day 
• Additional hours may be required when working off-site at shoots or meeting deadlines
• 3-6 month probation period
