Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time Student Audio/Video Editor position for the TallWood Design Institute at Oregon State University (OSU).

The TallWood Design Institute is seeking an exceptional student for the position of Video Editor Student Worker to work up to 20 hours a week. The Video Editor Student Worker will work with the Education Coordinator and the MarComms Coordinator to help with the process of editing video for courses and marketing/communications.

Position Duties
  • Edit course videos using a program such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar program
    • Organization of files and their names
    • Attention to detail
  • Digital editing experience and proficiency – Final Cut Pro or Premiere.
  • Adobe CC Suite experience.
  • Begin, edit, and finish video editing projects including logging, basic editing, and uploading complete projects.
  • Develop, create, and finalize video content through post-production phase (assembling footage, raw edits, syncing, all version edits, color correction).
  • Maintain the video and photo asset library. Media manage, organize assets and deliver files.
  • Organize time and projects to help meet needs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to man- age multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Good communication skills over various modes; email, face to face interaction
  • Able to adapt to new and updated programs.
  • Able to manage time properly
    • Work related tasks
    • Balancing of school and work

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
