The opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing entertainment company based in Melbourne. Working with the Halogen DJ Company team, you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality video and animation of the events that we cater to our clients

This is a Part-time role suitable for a junior that is currently studying or running their own small enterprise business, to build their experience in the video editing and social media marketing industry

Your impact

This is primarily a video editing and animation role but also involves all aspects of video pre-production, production, social media posts and marketing, and online publishing Including a general admin role.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Processing and uploading footage to various online platforms
• Designing all visual assets for video projects that are visually engaging and in the brand style
• Editing and mastering all audio-visual content for video projects, including sound design and colour correction
• Illustrating and animating course content with the help of expansive stock libraries
• Producing additional content deliverables, including visually engaging cover images, web banners and closed captions for each project
• General administration role including entering bookings, inquiries and dealing with clients

Experience, skills and attributes

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

• Experience working with Vegas Pro andAdobe Creative Suite products.
• Experience creating graphic and web/digital designs
• Strong knowledge of video editing techniques
• Strong visual storytelling abilities
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Understanding of video formats, codecs, and file conversions
• Knowledge of basic audio editing and mixing
• Familiarity with colour grading and correction techniques
• Strong organisational skills to manage files, assets, and project timelines efficiently
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the filming or editing process
• High attention to detail and organisational skills

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
