We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor/Videographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content for our YouTube channel. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creative flair, and a passion for storytelling. From shooting to post-production, the Video Editor/Videographer will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand through engaging and visually appealing videos.

We work four 10 hour shifts M-TH and have a three day weekend every week, which is nice.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Production:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit videos for YouTube, ensuring high production quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand the vision and requirements for each video project.

Editing and Post-Production

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, visually compelling videos.
  • Add graphics, effects, and sound to enhance video quality.
  • Ensure videos align with brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style.
  • Ability to understand critiques and edits
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Basic knowledge of After Effects, you don’t have to be a pro just knowing some is a big plus
  • Basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator also a big plus

Equipment Management

  • Manage and maintain video equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in videography technology.

Creative Input:

  • Bring creative ideas and innovative approaches to enhance video content.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging concepts for videos.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a seamless workflow.

Not Necessary, but a huge plus if you know

  • Any audio and sound engineering experience
  • YouTube backend experience (uploading videos, metadata, etc)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor/Videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing past work.
  • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Strong understanding of cinematography and storytelling techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of YouTube trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Relevant certifications or courses in video production/editing.
  • Degree not necessary, but a plus if you have one.
