Costume Actor/Actress/Walk-Around: In-Person Events

We’re in Search for Walk-Around Actors/Actresses/Models/ and Entertainers in the Halloween Industry, Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Lovecraftian Style, etc. Grimoire Academy has a touch of a Halloween but is inspired by mainstream Pop-Culture, Folklore, and Sci-Fi.

Grimoire Studios is brining on this role for both Grimoire Academy Exhibitions and Fairs, as well as, festivals, amusement festivals, and Music Festivals.

Walk-Around Actress/Actor/Model/Dancer

Per event, we seek entertainers to keep our guests feeling the tone of our themed events. From Greek Goddesses to Pirates, Witches, Vampires, Space Cadets, and Ghosts, we need various actors/actresses and music-loving talented persons flexible to fill this role (dance and song interests are not the worst to have as well). We would love for our actors/actresses/singers/dancers and models to have skills in costume, fashion, or design and with a strong desire to build their credentials in the entertainment field. At the current time, we do not provide these items, but we do allow our entertainers to collect tips while also earning hourly wages and building their portfolios. We are all about living out a fantasy and creative freedom in a safe and enjoyable way. Be our guest at all our events and bring fun and entertainment to all of our attendees.

Our Culture

All inspiration comes from imagination. Grimoire Academy loves Folklore, Sci-Fi, Halloween, and Fairytales. The company seeks people interested in creating “real-world fantasy experiences” such that customers may feel they are apart of a world when entering an event space.

–Long-Term, entertainers that build with the company might be able to earn more compensation and develop their own acting portfolio that can be used in the professional domain.

Qualifications and Expectations

Grimoire Academy hires on a 1099-project basis and files all taxes and documentation properly with the state. Actress/Actor be comfortable taking on paid assignments here and there (or temporarily depending on the season and economic situation of the company) starting from $20- $35/hour +tips.

Assignments may be used per event and imagery/video will become the intellectual property of the parent company – though, the actor/actress may share and use their imagery/video on their portfolio sites and social media (or professional affairs like marketing or job interviews). So you must be okay with being captured in any kind of recordings.

-Skill in Entertainment, Costume and Makeup is preferred. Storytelling and an Interest in Halloween or Fantasy is a plus.

–Social Media Presence Preferred but not required.

-Actor/Actress will become a member of the Grimoire Academy network and family and develop themselves through the company with many opportunities for exposure that could become useful for their future career as an independent entity. Willingness to travel for different events may become a possibility as well! We seek open-mindedness during this time and, of course, with and until the close of the pandemic.
