Bilingual Video Editor (Mandarin)

As a Bilingual Video Editor, you will be creating videos for our app, Reel short – to support our growing team projects across US and China. A strong candidate would be someone who has 2-4 years of experience in films, commercial or short episodic video editing and 2D Spine animation with a strong understanding of social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to re-edit videos shot for Reel short app, and create promotional ads
• Review for any flaws and provide feedback on rough cut videos
• Consistently improve video content based on performance reports from the marketing team.
• Work effectively and collaboratively with global teams in various time zones
• Ensures timely and consistent communication
• Ensure quality and consistency across projects with brand guidelines
• Able and willing to work from our Sunnyvale, CA office 4 days a week

Requirements:

• Experience in video editing and skillful in video editing softwares, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere. (Davinci is a plus)
• The ability to follow direction and solve problems independently/teamwork meeting goals and deadline while maintaining high quality
• Must be detail oriented and strive for perfection
• Proficient in Mandarin (Verbal and Written)
• Strong creative thinker and is proactive in seeking out new solutions to challenges
• Must be familiar with social media platforms including but not limited to: YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
• Must have an ear and knack for pairing music with the story
• Perform other duties as required
• Startup experience is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $20.00 – $40.00 per hour
