Freelance Video Editor with Color and Motion Graphics Experience

Digital Alliance is looking for talented video editors with strong color and motion graphics experience to assemble recorded footage into finished projects that match our directors’ and clients’ visions, and is suitable for broadcast and/or web. Ultimately, as a video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.

Responsibilities

• Candidate will be responsible for taking on freelance projects featuring aspects of a variety of corporate and non-profit entities

• Manipulate and edit video in a way that is invisible to the audience
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the piece
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
• Color correcting footage
• Create rough and final cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Regularly uploading project files to the company’s server
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency

Skills

• Proven work experience as a video editor
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• Ability to create/edit motion graphics templates
• Ability to perform color correction on footage. Must be able to match colors for different cameras.
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Must be a self-starter and solid communicator
• Degree in video production or related field preferred but not required

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 per hour

• On call

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

• Adobe Premiere: 3 years (Required)
• Adobe After Effects: 3 years (Required)
