Who We Are

Sports Broadcast Solutions, or SBS for short, is a Broadcasting Network for Everyone. We offer live broadcasts for the non-professional athlete. We film in 720P HD, 1080P HD, and 4K. We offer everything from live score banners and time codes to pregame interviews, play-by-play commentary, live stats, and much, much more. We also offer professional sports uploads. For example: sportsbroadcastsolutions.com/blog.

What the Role Encompasses

SBS is currently looking for freelance and pro bono videographers for our in-person baseball broadcasts throughout northwest Indiana. Listed below is what we’re looking for in terms of freelance videography (We also offer remote 100% commission video editing):

  • We’d prefer if you carpool with us in Carol Stream. Regardless, you get 65 cents per mile roundtrip from the residence listed on your resume. This includes mileage to carpool in Carol Stream. You can probably drive yourself to the telecasts in northwest Indiana.
  • If you carpool with us, you’ll most likely receive a free post-game meal.
  • Someone who can respond quickly to mass Blind Carbon Copy emails. If we have to constantly text you, we perceive that to mean you’re not really interested in videography at SBS and only interested in a paycheck.
  • Passion for the product. If you’re only looking into making some money and don’t care about “framing the shot,” please don’t apply.
  • Previous experience in videography, especially live sports, highly recommended but not required.
  • Shooting to edit. Most of our productions are live, and while we can fix some things in post-production, we ALWAYS film as if we’re not going to edit later.
  • Thrives in a somewhat stressful environment. That being said, videography isn’t hard if you have a passion for the product.
  • Understands that this is LIVE broadcasting.
  • Is able to work as a technical director, slow motion instant replay video editor, or StatCrew digital live statistics technician when a videographer role isn’t available.
  • Enjoys non-professional sports broadcasts. We offer professional uploads (i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJDQeurUSJQ), but this position is primarily focused on our clients pertaining to travel baseball, high school athletics, college athletics, AAU basketball, Pop Warner football, travel hockey, etc.
  • If you want to edit professional sports videos for us, we offer remote work. Search “Sports Broadcast Solutions” on YouTube.
  • Entry-level candidates welcome.
  • Bachelor’s degree highly recommended in Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, or related major.
