Video Editor/Motion Graphics Artist

KJO Media is on the lookout for a talented Editor/Motion Graphics Artist to join our team. This role would work closely with Project Managers and our Creative Director editing and creating animations for a wide variety of clients. The perfect candidate would have a great eye for design, the technical ability to bring designs to life, and exceptional storytelling skills.

The ideal candidate would also have some production experience shooting, running audio, and lighting. This position will be focused on post-production but will occasionally assist on shoots as well.

Specific Responsibilities

• Work alongside our Project Managers and Creative Director to edit and create finished videos
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Photoshop/Illustrator experience is a big plus

• Strong attention to detail, specifically in following a creative brief or working through client feedback
• This position will require graphic design ability. At its simplest form, you will need to be able to design text-based motion graphics for various videos.

• Ability to travel for shoots out of town including multiple day shoots.
• Must live near Kansas City Metro and work on-site at our office location. This will NOT be a remote position.

Desired Skills and Required Experience

• College degree in media related field or demonstrated experience

• Highly organized individual. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail for success

• Portfolio or relevant work you have created or been a part of

• Driven nature, willing to learn and grow, and take criticism well
• Willing go the extra mile to make content the best it can be, no matter the subject

Bonus but not required

• Experience managing social media accounts

• Website or graphic design

• Photography and photo editing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
