Image and Video Editor*

in Bonn

The position is to be filled as soon as possible with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. Working from home is possible at any time in coordination with your Team Lead.

Welthungerhilfe’s Brand & Content team helps to get people in Germany actively involved in the fight for a world without hunger and to promote the donations that make the organization’s work possible. The Unit’s main task is to increase the awareness and popularity of the Welthungerhilfe brand. We basically focus on brand management and advertising, project information and image editing. To achieve these goals, we need you to join our team as Image and Video Editor!

Your responsibilities

  • Modern visual language: You will actively carry our visual language into the organization and contribute your expertise to its modern, inclusive development
  • Visual storytelling: Working closely with your Creative Management and Channel Manager colleagues, you will develop our visual storytelling and create compelling visual stories that appeal to our target audiences
  • Support and advice: You will support and advise colleagues in Germany and internationally in the creation of image and video material across the entire range of our print and online channels
  • Quality assurance and coordination: You will be responsible for the performance and quality control of photo and video projects, photo selection and editing. You will manage and coordinate external freelancers and service providers efficiently and on time
  • Briefing and budget planning: You will develop photo and video briefings, research internationally for talented photographers and videographers, commission and brief them, and keep an eye on the budget
  • Digital asset management: Setting up and maintaining a digital asset management system to archive and provide media material is just as much a part of your job as providing legal advice on usage, copyright and GDPR
  • Contract management: You will initiate and coordinate the conclusion of contracts and oversee license purchasing and management

Your profile

  • You have training in film or media design with a focus on photography or moving image production or you have several years of experience in the field of photo editing/moving images
  • You have very good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Suite or similar tools and are familiar with common camera technology
  • Your previous content creation experience includes successful shoots and video productions in which you were actively involved in the entire process from briefing to post-production of the final product
  • You contribute your creativity to image and video processing, editing, animation and dubbing
  • The ability to tell stories visually, a feel for visual trends and new channels, sound project management skills and a structured way of working characterize you
  • You see yourself as a brand ambassador and service interface, advocate an authentic, respectful and tolerant visual language and are able to manage the communication needs of your various internal stakeholders
  • You have very good communication skills in German and English, ideally you have experience of working in an international environment
