Multimedia Production Instructor: Specializing in Audio and Filmmaking

We are seeking a multi-talented, energetic, and passionate instructor who can teach both Music/Audio Production and Cinematography/Filmmaking to middle and high school students. This unique role is perfect for those with a blended skill set in both areas who are excited to inspire the next generation of artists and technicians through STEAM and Vocational Training.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Music Production

  • Teach the art of music production using digital audio workstations (DAWs).
  • Work on Projects involving artists, commercials, games, Foley, and ADR.

Cinematography/Filmmaking

  • Educate students on creating videos through non-linear video editing software.
  • Cover Aspects such as storyboarding, scriptwriting, lighting, and set design.

  • Communication: Ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide solutions and demonstrate patience when working with students.

Class Information

  • Class Size: 8 to 25 students
  • Assistance: An assistant will be provided for larger classes.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting 25 lbs
  • Setting up and taking down portable studio equipment
  • Pushing tables and chairs into position
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods

Job Type and Compensation

  • Part-Time
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of professional experience in both music production and video production
  • Demo/Portfolio: MP3s of professional audio projects and reels of professional video productions
  • Bilingual: Not mandatory but a plus

Skills and Software Knowledge

Required

  • Proficiency in DAWs like Reason, Logic Pro, Studio One, FL Studio, Bandlab, SoundTrap, and Pro Tools
  • Proficiency in Video Editing Software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, WeVideo, and Divinci Resolve

Pluses

  • Familiarity with various operating systems like Windows, Apple, Android, and iOS
  • Experience teaching or working with kids

Location and Relocation

  • Location: Local public schools, colleges, and government buildings close to our KRE8ivTeam members
  • Relocation: No, local candidates only

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Music Producing and Filmmaking: 3 years (Preferred)

Shift availability:

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
